Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H, guest starred on Season 9, Episode 10 of\u00a0\u201c9-1-1.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Thursday night\u2019s episode, Farrell played Bill Schneider, a man on his way to pick up his girlfriend up at the airport. However, his son Andrew (Jason Gray-Stanford) is concerned his dad is being catfished. <\/p>\n<p>Mike Farrell made his return to television in \u201c9-1-1.\u201d Disney<\/p>\n<p>Before appearing on the ABC series, Farrell portrayed Judge Miles Deakin in two episodes of\u00a0\u201cNCIS\u201d\u00a0in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The producer also starred in\u00a02018\u2019s \u201cImpeachment: American Crime Story\u201d and was in seven episodes of\u00a0\u201cThe Red Road\u201d in 2014 and 2015. <\/p>\n<p>Now, Farrell is set to star in the upcoming movie\u00a0\u201cThe Strawberry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_12-0\">\u201cIt\u2019s really a very thoughtful film,\u201d Farrell\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/mash-alum-mike-farrell-guest-stars-911-11896053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">told People<\/a>\u00a0in 2025. \u201cI play a character who\u2019s gotten a diagnosis that\u2019s gonna mean he can\u2019t survive with the disease and what the process is to go through with your family \u2026 and it\u2019s a very, very deeply thought through script by a man who went through that with his father.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While chatting with the outlet, the activist reflected on starring in M*A*S*H, which ran for eleven seasons from 1972 to 1983.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_5-0\">\u201cIt stands out in my life\u2019s experience as one of the great periods,\u201d Farrell gushed. \u201cThe combination of what we were doing, what we were talking about, what we were showing, the blood and guts level of what we were dealing with, and the reality of what was going on around us in the world at the time contributed to a really special mix of emotions and thoughts and principles and people.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Alan Alda, Linda Meiklejohn, Mike Farrell in \u201cMASH.\u201d \u00a920thCentFox\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>Harry Morgan, Alanda Alda, Mike Farrell on the sitcom in 1975. \u00a920thCentFox\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>Mike Farrell in \u201cMASH.\u201d \u00a920thCentFox\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>The sitcom, which also starred Loretta Swit (Margaret Houlihan), Alan Alda (Benjamin Franklin \u201cHawkeye\u201d Pierce), Jamie Farr (Maxwell Q. Klinger), Wayne Rogers (Trapper John McIntyre) Gary Burghoff (Radar O\u2019Reilly) and Harry Morgan (Sherman T. Potter), followed key personnel in the US Army\u2019s Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. <\/p>\n<p>Farrell joined the show in 1975\u00a0at the start of season four. So I felt, \u2018Okay. I am at least okay with him.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Farrell continued, \u201cThen I went onto the set the first day thinking \u2018I don\u2019t know. How am I going to feel?\u2019 The first person that came up stuck out his hand was Gary Burghoff and he said, \u2018Mike, we\u2019re really thrilled to have you here. Loretta was next and then Bill Christopher and then Jamie. And they just let me know that I was welcomed and we are all going to go on together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swit <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/05\/30\/entertainment\/loretta-swit-mash-star-dead-at-87\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">passed away at age 87 in May<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>Mike Farrell, Julianne Nicholson in \u201cThe Red Road.\u201d \u00a9AMC\/courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/interviews.televisionacademy.com\/interviews\/loretta-swit#interview-clips\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">During an interview<\/a>\u00a0in 2004, the actress praised her \u201cM*A*S*H\u201d character as \u201cunique,\u201d even if \u201cnobody appreciated her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was unique at the time and in her time, which was the \u201950s, when the Korean War was happening,\u201d Swit elaborated. \u201cAnd she became even more unique, I think, because we allowed her to continue to grow \u2014 we watched her evolve. I don\u2019t think that\u2019s ever been done in quite that way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was the head nurse, and her ambition was to be the best damn nurse in Korea, and I tried to help her achieve that,\u201d she noted. \u201cThat woman was so lonely, and she was trying to do such a good job.
