Stevenson (25-0, 11 KOs) then went out and elevated his own greatness to another level, delivering a brilliant boxing masterclass behind arguably the best jab in the sport toward a dominant unanimous decision victory over Teofimo Lopez in front of a sold-out Madison Square Garden, and live on DAZN PPV. Judges all scored it 119-109 across the board for Stevenson, who snatched the WBO and The Ring super lightweight titles and became a four-division world champion in his 25th professional fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the art of boxing \u2014 hit and don\u2019t get hit,\u201d Stevenson said live on DAZN, \u201cand pick guys apart.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cI told ya\u2019ll \u2014 I\u2019m the best fighter on the planet and I stand by that.\u201d<\/p>\n
After the fight, Stevenson called out Conor Benn before the pair confronted each other inside the ring.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey, Conor Benn, we can get it bangin\u2019, boy! I want that same hydration clause that you put on Eubank Jr and I want a fight,\u201d Stevenson said.<\/p>\n
Benn then told Stevenson he was \u201ctoo small\u201d before they continued to trade verbal barbs.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy skills is too much,\u201d Stevenson said. <\/p>\n
\u201cSign the contract! Sign the contract! Let\u2019s make it happen!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can\u2019t punch. You can\u2019t keep me off you. I\u2019ll rough you up,\u201d Benn then replied. <\/p>\n
Stevenson later told promoter Eddie Hearn that Benn was \u201cfood\u201d, with Benn replying by calling him a \u201clittle man\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s your night but I\u2019m going to whoop your ass next,\u201d Benn added.<\/p>\n
Planting his lead foot in the canvas, Stevenson declared his ring real estate and refused to negotiate any back steps to the champ, using his world-class jab to turn \u2018The Takeover\u2019 into game over for the Brooklyn, New York native.<\/p>\n

Stevenson masterfully used the jab to flush an incoming Lopez out, keeping him at bay, or to stand his ground and pepper him with stinging output after evading harm\u2019s way. Lopez worked diligently to get inside of Stevenson\u2019s jab, feinting, changing levels, and relying on his nimble footwork, but often settled for stab jabs to the body.<\/p>\n
Even when Lopez (22-2, 13 KOs) had brief success, he was treated to sharp counterpunches, adding to his anguish from sharing the ring with one of boxing\u2019s best, who made many sequences look like target practice.<\/p>\n
