Journalist Andrew Webster says the Bulldogs will be \u201cwell and truly off\u201d Toby Sexton if they don\u2019t pick him, if halfback Lachlan Galvin is ruled out of the clash with the Warriors with injury.<\/p>\n
Galvin is battling both hand and ankle injuries and is in some doubt to play against the Warriors at Accor Stadium on Saturday night, although he has been named in the team at halfback.<\/p>\n
Sexton and 19-year-old Mitchell Woods, the Bulldogs\u2019 other NSW Cup half, have both been named in the extended squad as cover for Galvin.<\/p>\n

Limited-time offer ><\/a><\/p>\n Paul Crawley said it was mysterious that the Bulldogs had named Woods in the extended squad as well.<\/p>\n \u201cAre they kidding us here?\u201d Crawley asked the NRL 360 panel.<\/p>\n \u201cAre they really going to gamble on an untried young guy, as impressive as Woods may be?<\/p>\n \u201cOr do you go with the bloke who you know what you\u2019re going to get, with Sexton?\u201d<\/p>\n Webster was in no doubt Sexton should be picked if Galvin isn\u2019t fit enough to play.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has to be Sexton, surely,\u201d Webster said.<\/p>\n Co-host Gorden Tallis agreed.<\/p>\n \u201cHe got them to the top of the table, you put him in for the next couple of weeks, Lachie has a couple of weeks off, that\u2019s common sense,\u201d Tallis added.<\/p>\n Webster felt that if Woods was picked over Sexton, the Bulldogs\u2019 attitude towards Sexton would be clear.<\/p>\n \u201cIf they don\u2019t pick him then they are well and truly off him,\u201d Webster said of Sexton. <\/p>\n Host Braith Anasta, who debuted for the Bulldogs in the NRL as an 18-year-old himself, said this isn\u2019t the time to throw Woods in the deep end.<\/p>\n \u201cMitch Woods is a superstar in the making,\u201d Anasta said.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve watched a lot of his games and he\u2019s a first grader through and through but there\u2019s no need to rush, especially right now, when you\u2019ve got Sexton sitting there.<\/p>\n \u201cHis time will come.
