The former Australian men\u2019s cricket player will be a speaker at events at the Brolga Hotel Motel in Coleambally and Finley Rec Reserve for \u2018A night with Jason Gillespie\u2019, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, respectively.<\/p>\n

A former fast bowler and international coach, Gillespie has coached Yorkshire, Sussex, South Australia, the Adelaide Strikers, and most recently Pakistan.<\/p>\n

In his playing career, he took 259 wickets in 71 tests and 142 wickets in 97 one day internationals for Australia between 1996 and 2006.<\/p>\n

He also made his top score and only test century of 201 not out as a night watchman against Bangladesh in his final test match in 2006.<\/p>\n

Gillespie provides cricket commentary alongside his coaching duties across the globe.<\/p>\n

The Finley and Coleambally Cricket Clubs have partnered with Mouse Promotions to bring Gillespie to the region, for the all ages events.<\/p>\n

He will be sharing some stories of his days as a cricketer and coach, answering questions from the crowd, and will meet with fans after formalities are finished.<\/p>\n

The Coly event at the Brolga will be from 7.15pm on Wednesday, February 4, finishing about 9pm.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $40 for over 18s, while under-18s are free. Tickets can be purchased at https:\/\/www.trybooking.com\/events\/landing\/1529361<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The following night, Thursday, February 5, is the \u2018A Night with Jason Gillespie\u2019 event at the Finley Recreation Reserve.<\/p>\n

The dinner event is set to begin about 7pm, after cricket training.<\/p>\n

The nets will be open from 5pm, and regional cricketers are invited to join the Cats for training before the dinner.<\/p>\n

Dinner entry for adults is $45, and $15 for under-16s.<\/p>\n
