The Mercedes Formula 1 Team have announced that Joshua Duersken has joined as Development Driver for the 2026 season.<\/p>\n
The Paraguayan joins the team after two seasons in FIA Formula 2 during which he has achieved four victories and 12 podiums in total.<\/p>\n
For 2026, Duerksen is set to return for a third campaign in F2, joining reigning Teams\u2019 Champions Invicta Racing, and will now be doing so with the support of Mercedes.<\/p>\n
Duerksen’s duties for the team will include carrying out simulator work, and he will also get several days of Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) running.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old is set to be back in the car at pre-season testing later this month, before Round 1 of the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season in Melbourne from March 6-8.<\/p>\n
