J\ufeffustin Timberlake<\/a> is expressing with every fibre of his being that he needs a break \u2013 especially the fibre of his clothes.<\/p>\n

The singer, 44, has just wrapped up his two-year-long world tour, the Forget Tomorrow World Tour\ufeff, after which he revealed his debilitating diagnosis of Lyme disease<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ready to hit the couch, he even has the appropriate attire \u2013 \ufeffthe star was pictured on his Instagram stories wearing a grey sweatshirt that said “I’m not doing shit today”.<\/p>\n

Underneath in smaller letters were the words “mission accomplished” with a checked box next to it, with the Rock Your Body singer \ufeffposing cheekily by poking his tongue out and holding up peace signs.<\/p>\n

Just days ago, as his tour wrapped up in Istanbul, the singer took to social media to share his medical news.<\/p>\n

“When I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure.<\/p>\n

“But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.”<\/p>\n

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection, transmitted through the bite of a particular tick, the black-legged tick.<\/p>\n

The bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi is the most common cause, Dr Leana Wen previously told CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, “There are three stages of Lyme disease, which can include flu-like symptoms, dizziness, chest pain, palpitations, arthritis, facial nerve paralysis, ongoing joint pain, fatigue, depression, palpitations, and other neurological, rheumatological and cardiac involvement.”<\/p>\n

Despite the dangers, the dad-of-two \u2013 who shares two sons with actress Jessica Biel \u2013 said he was “so glad I kept going.<\/p>\n

“The joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling.”<\/p>\n

While he doesn’t know how his diagnosis will affect him in the future, he said he will hold this tour close to his heart.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“There really is no way to put into words the feeling of being on a stage and getting to share the experience of live music with all of you,” he wrote, “It’s a vibration of frequency that is unmatched.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“I honestly don’t know what my future is onstage but I’ll always cherish this run!”<\/p>\n

The 4 Minutes\ufeff singer added that while he is usually a private person, he felt he needed to share his health experience.<\/p>\n

The star said he was “trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren’t misinterpreted,” and wants to “help others.<\/p>\n
