The clash between the world\u2019s tennis aces was the highest-rated men\u2019s final since Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal in the 2017 final, a matchup widely considered one of the best tennis battles in modern history.<\/p>\n
Last night\u2019s average audience of 3.448m was up 67% on the prior year\u2019s final, with the 905,000 broadcast\u00a0video-on-demand, via 9Now, viewers up by 135.7% year-on-year.<\/p>\n
The previous day, the AO women\u2019s final also attracted huge TV audiences, with more than 3.8m viewers tuning into Elena Rybakina\u2019s victory over women\u2019s #1-ranked Aryna Sabalenka, with average audiences of 2.1m.<\/p>\n

The average viewership was up 30.1% on last year\u2019s final, and the biggest for a women\u2019s final since Ash Barty\u2019s 2022 victory over American Danielle Collins drew an average of 3.6m.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s final had a 9Now audience of 500,000, a 95.3% year-on-year increase.<\/p>\n
Overall, the Australian Open\u2019s 15 days of play pulled a cumulative audience of 14.3m viewers \u2014 good news for all those sponsors that shelled out to be a part of Nine\u2019s coverage.<\/p>\n
