A man has been charged with multiple further domestic violence offences, including rape and coercive control, after a woman was allegedly \ufeffchained up in a Sydney home last year.<\/p>\n

A 32-year-old woman attended a police station in the Illawarra region of New South Wales<\/a> on August 5 last year, to report alleged domestic violence offences.<\/p>\n

Police will allege in court a 34-year-old man, known to the woman, chained her up in their home on The Esplanade in Oak Flats.<\/p>\n

It’s alleged that between July and August last year, the man inflicted ongoing physical assaults on the woman, including throwing scissors and a meat tenderiser at her.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken to hospital and treated for fractures to her eye socket and multiple broken ribs.<\/p>\n

A 34-year-old man was arrested at a home on The Esplanade in Oak Flats at about 1.30pm on August 6 and charged with multiple offences including kidnapping, and assault.\ufeff<\/p>\n

Following further legal advice, yesterday he was charged with more offences including sexual intercourse without consent, choking, and coercive control.<\/p>\n

He has been in custody since his first appearance in court last August and will nest appear in court today.<\/p>\n
