<\/p>\n BIRMINGHAM, Ala.– The Samford men’s tennis team returned to the\u00a0win\u00a0column Tuesday, posting a 4-3 victory over North Alabama in non-conference play at the Samford Tennis Center. With the result, the Bulldogs move to 3-2 on the season while North Alabama\u00a0remains\u00a0winless.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Bulldogs took early momentum by capturing the doubles point.\u00a0Sandeep Mohandoss<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Darcy Nicholls<\/a>\u00a0set the tone with a convincing 6-2\u00a0win, and\u00a0Sebastian Harrison<\/a>\u00a0partnered with\u00a0Vitorio Sardinha<\/a>\u00a0for a hard-fought 7-5 decision to clinch the opening point for Samford.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0Darcy Nicholls<\/a>\u00a0showed resilience, coming back from a set down to defeat Alberto\u00a0Altur\u00a04-6, 6-3, 6-4.\u00a0<\/p>\n In the middle of the lineup,\u00a0Santiago Arredondo<\/a>\u00a0notched a straight-set win, 6-3, 6-2, over Alex Despoja.\u00a0Lukas Dvorak<\/a>\u00a0also delivered a comeback performance, winning 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 against Benjamin Meyers to secure another point for the Bulldogs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Samford’s ability to secure the doubles point and battle through several lengthy singles matches highlighted the team’s determination and depth throughout the home lineup.\u00a0<\/p>\n Samford continues its non-conference schedule Friday, Feb. 6, with a road match against Kennesaw State.
