With the new-for-2026 bike, the Australian expressed some enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a busy but decent day,\u201d said Miller, who completed 48 laps.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe tried a lot of different set-ups, mainly to understand the positives and negatives of each change and how everything works together \u2014 a real cause-and-effect approach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also tested a few things with the electronics. Test days are always long, sometimes frustrating and sometimes rewarding, but I feel the basic package of the bike is there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels like a completely new bike, yet still very much a Yamaha. It hasn\u2018t lost the M1\u2018s turning ability and the front-end feel is pretty bloody good.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2018s always room to improve, but at this stage it\u2018s already impressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/motogp-news-2026-sepang-test-day-1-results-quartararo-crash-injury-broken-finger-marquez-fastest\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Quartararo breaks finger as Marquez tops MotoGP test<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Pramac teammate Toprak Razgatlioglu made his first meaningful MotoGP appearance on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Razgatlioglu set a 1:58.887s in the first session to be 14th fastest and then a 2:00.596s in the second session to be 21st.<\/p>\n<p>On combined times, the Turkish rider was 1.869s off Marc Marquez\u2019s best lap and 20ths of the 23 riders.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the WorldSBK champion moves across to MotoGP for the toughest assignment of his career to date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday I focused mainly on seat position, because in terms of feeling this is still the area that feels most different from what I was used to,\u201d said Razgatlioglu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy the end of the day I also tried a higher seat and felt better: the bike was smoother under braking, the rear had more control, and I also felt more confident on the gas in some corners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTomorrow I may focus more on the handlebar, which still feel a little high at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2018s what testing is for \u2014 understanding whether I can get the right feeling from set-ups I\u2018m used to, or if I need to adapt my riding style to better match this bike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MotoGP testing at Sepang continues on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><a data-bid=\"1\" data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/t.cfjump.com\/92797\/b\/285241\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none; vertical-align: middle;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/285241.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jack Miller during Day 1 of MotoGP pre-season testing at Sepang on his Yamaha YZR-M1.
