Jon Jones has been dealing with a nagging injury.<\/p>\n
Jones (28-1 MMA, 22-1 UFC), a former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion, recently filmed Season 3 of ALF Global’s “Alf Reality” series<\/a>, a Russian version of the UFC’s “The Ultimate Fighter,” opposite longtime rival Daniel Cormier.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Cormier said he’d be willing to wrestle Jones<\/a> under the Real American Freestyle banner, but Jones didn’t reciprocate the same interest. He revealed recent struggles with his hip.<\/p>\n “I have severe arthritis, and most people don’t know that,” Jones said (h\/t Championship Rounds<\/a>). “My left hip is covered in arthritis. I actually already qualified for hip replacement. My last training camp, dude, I went to bed in so much pain. I have a 3-year-old baby boy, and I want to use what I got left in my hips to play with his ass.”<\/p>\n Despite this revelation, Jones has been campaigning to compete on the UFC’s White House event<\/a> in June. Jones hasn’t competed since retaining his heavyweight title with a TKO of Stipe Miocic in November 2024<\/a> and later relinquished his belt.<\/p>\n
