traded again: Boomers star rides the NBA Trade Deadline merry-go-round

For a brief moment yesterday Jock Landale was off to the Grizzlies teammate Jaren Jackson Jr.

But according to ESPN’s <a Boomers stars Dyson Daniels and Duop Reath who himself was only recently acquired from the Portland Trail Blazers.

Landale is in the midst of his best ever season in the NBA, averaging career highs in points (11.3), minutes (23.6), rebounds (6.5) and assists (1.7).

ESPN is reporting Utah sent Landale to the Hawks for cash considerations.

MORE: Full details as Wizards acquire Anthony Davis from Mavericks

The Hawks will be Landale’s fifth NBA franchise (not counting his 24 hours with the Jazz) having previously suited up for the Spurs, Suns, Rockets and Grizzlies.

Meanwhile in other trade deadline news, Boomers swing man Dante Exum also found himself on the move overnight after being included in the Anthony Davis trade from Dallas to the Washington Wizards.

Other Australians such as Josh Giddey (Bulls), Johnny Furphy (Pacers), Josh Green (Hornets), Joe Ingles (Timberwolves) and Matisse Thybulle (Trail Blazers) so far remain in place—despite plenty of player movement around them.

Of course, with just under 24 hours until the trade deadline anything is possible, so probably best no-one unpacks their bags just yet.

The Atlanta Hawks are acquiring center Jock Landale from the Utah Jazz for cash considerations, sources tell ESPN.

— Shams Charania
