Tottenham players have shown that they are still backing Thomas Frank to be their manager.<\/p>\n

That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to\u00a0Football Insider, after Spurs drew 2-2 with Manchester City<\/a> last time out in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Spurs had 11 first team players out injured against Man City<\/a>, but a Dominic Solanke double grabbed them a point in the second half.<\/p>\n

Frank\u2019s side are now unbeaten in four games in all competitions, with the pressure having been slightly relieved on the 52-year-old.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Tottenham \u2018surprise\u2019 expert with Man City comeback<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s former chief\u00a0Keith Wyness<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs \u2013 believes Spurs<\/a> challenging for a European place would be \u201cacceptable\u201d to the fanbase.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the new edition of\u00a0Football Insider\u2018s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, Wyness thinks Frank could use injuries as an excuse for their lowly position in the Premier League table.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Football Insider\u2018s Inside Track podcast:\u00a0\u201cI\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0out of\u00a0getting\u00a0a European place by any means yet. I think they could still challenge for that and that would be acceptable, I think, to the Spurs fans, and they see some growth coming back. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut Frank got that second half out of\u00a0them\u00a0and that did surprise me. I mean, like everybody, I was writing them off\u00a0at 2-0 down, but the comeback certainly showed me that the players are still playing for Frank, and so I think, look,\u00a0it\u2019ll\u00a0settle down at Spurs.\u00a0We\u2019ve\u00a0got to, I hate using the excuse of injuries, but in\u00a0this case, it is such\u00a0a long list. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is unique in terms of that depth that\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0seen for many clubs.\u00a0So\u00a0I give them the benefit of\u00a0that\u00a0and I understand a bit more why they\u00a0haven\u2019t\u00a0gone further in the transfer window. I think the kid from\u00a0Hearts is one for the future. He may be a young talent,\u00a0but I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0expect him to get much time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cStill, look, Spurs, I think, are going to be OK as the players come back. But\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0got to look at the timings of that, and then I think that\u00a0everybody\u00a0will start to ease off and things will calm down at Spurs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tottenham are already looking forward to the summer transfer window<\/a>, with the club insisting they will be active to strengthen the squad.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the club, sporting director Johan Lange states they have \u201cbig ambitions\u201d for the summer window.<\/p>\n
