MMA veteran Kyoji Horiguchi isn\u2019t worried about possibly having to wait for a shot at the UFC flyweight championship.<\/p>\n

When it comes to the smaller weight classes, few current fighters are as respected as Kyoji Horiguchi. In addition to his initial run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, he also went on to have an incredible stint outside of the promotion too. Now that he\u2019s back, he wants to really push to try and become a UFC champion, and that goal will be a lot more realistic if he can beat Amir Albazi this weekend.<\/p>\n

Horiguchi may be in the twilight of his career in the eyes of many, but in his last outing<\/a>, he still looked sharp, and he still seemed like a fighter who can cause problems for a lot of the top guys at 125 pounds.<\/p>\n

In his pre-fight media scrum, Horiguchi had the following to say about the current log jam at the top of the flyweight division.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t give a sh*t,\u201d Horiguchi responded with a laugh when asked at the UFC Fight Night 266 media day if he\u2019s worried about his potential title shot being delayed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course, he can do it (Pantoja), or I get the belt fast, and then he challenges me. That\u2019s a good story. I want to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhich one is the strongest? Which one is the best in the world in flyweight?\u201d Horiguchi said. \u201cIn training, it\u2019s a little fake, that\u2019s why I want to show everybody who\u2019s the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
