A bare-knuckle brawler with sneaky jitz skills has joined the ranks
\nof the
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The promotion announced<\/a> on Thursday that it had picked up former
\nBare Knuckle Fighting Championship lightweight beltholder Franco
\nTenaglia<\/a> (5-2 MMA, 5-1 BK). The Argentina-born 155er will be
\ndebuting with the organization at PFL Madrid<\/a> on March 20 at the Palacio
\nVistalegre in Madrid, Spain, which also serves as his home city.
\nHis opponent has yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

The Spanish combatant leaves behind the bare-knuckle ranks for the
\ntime being, although the PFL did not state the contract was
\nexclusive as fighters on its roster occasionally can compete
\nelsewhere. With BKFC, Tenaglia never lost a match, winning all five
\nof his appearances that culminated in his picking up a title. When
\nplanned on putting it on the line in 2025 in a rematch with the man
\nin Tony
\nSoto<\/a> whom he won it against, visa issues forced him out of the
\npairing. As a result, BKFC stripped his belt and forced him to
\nenter a tournament to win it back.<\/p>\n

Plenty of Bare-Knuckle Experience

\nIn addition to his five forays at BKFC, he tested himself at a
\nSpanish gala event in 2023 called Dogfight Wild Tournament. He fell
\nshort by split decision, and has not lost in BK ever since. He also
\nstopped off for a mixed-rules bout at defunct Polish league Wotore,
\nwhere he won using elbow strikes.<\/p>\n

Starting his pro MMA career a few months after a pair of
\nbare-knuckle stints, \u201cEl Rey de la Calle\u201d\u2014which translates to \u201cKing
\nof the Street\u201d\u2014has picked up five victories thus far. All five of
\nhis wins have come against opponents with records of .500 or
\nlesser, and he has notched four finishes across those five
\ntriumphs. On the other hand, the two men to defeat him entered with
\npro records of 4-0 and 3-0, and both stopped him inside the
\ndistance. Last year, Tenaglia rattled off a pair of first-round
\nrear-naked chokes at War MMA in Spain.<\/p>\n
