Chris Hemsworth has battled gods, monsters and intergalactic tyrants \u2013 but on Super Bowl Sunday, his biggest opponent might just be\u2026 Amazon\u2019s AI.<\/p>\n

In a new commercial debuting during Super Bowl LX on February 8th, Hemsworth teams up with wife Elsa Pataky in a hilarious pitch for Amazon\u2019s Alexa+, the tech giant\u2019s latest AI-powered voice assistant. But instead of rugged action sequences or Thor-style heroics, Hemsworth spends much of the ad convinced that Alexa+ is out to get him.<\/p>\n

Soundtracked to a sync of INXS\u2019 brooding 1987 classic \u201cDevil Inside,\u201d the spot opens with Hemsworth strolling into the house holding a giant snake like it\u2019s no big deal. But the moment he hears Alexa+ chatting with Pataky, his imagination spirals into wild territory. Suddenly, he\u2019s picturing the assistant sabotaging him at every turn \u2013 from a murderous garage door to a rogue bear waiting at the front door.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a self-deprecating quality to it, which lends itself to my sense of humour,\u201d Hemsworth told People<\/a> about taking on the role of an over-the-top version of himself. \u201cI don\u2019t mind being the joke in the scenario.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pataky, ever the calm foil to her husband\u2019s escalating paranoia, keeps it grounded \u2013 and even lets Alexa+ book Hemsworth a cinnamon scrub massage to calm him down (yes, really). \u201cChris is an amazing storyteller, \u2026 and his stories are a little bit like that \u2013 over the top \u2013 so [this commercial] felt really similar in that way,\u201d she told\u00a0People.<\/p>\n

The pair use Amazon tech in real life \u2013 and the ad leans into that, showing how Alexa+ can do everything from meal planning to scheduling stuff around a busy family life with their three kids, India Rose, Sasha, and Tristan.<\/p>\n

The commercial will air during the big game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks at Levi\u2019s Stadium in California on February 8th. For Australians, that will fall on the morning of Monday, February 9th.
