(Yonhap)<\/p>\n<p>SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Korea Bizwire) \u2013 Katseye, the girl group jointly launched by South Korea\u2019s Hybe and U.S. label Geffen Records, appeared on the popular NBC TV program \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u201d on Thursday (U.S. time).<\/p>\n<p>Fallon introduced the K-pop group as \u201cTikTok\u2019s Global Artist of the Year and a nominee for two Grammy awards\u201d before welcoming the six members, who took the stage in matching long dresses of different styles. Team leader Sophia described Katseye as \u201ca global girl group that was formed through K-pop training program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the appearance, the members reflected on their experience performing at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, where they shared the stage with music heavyweights, including Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.<\/p>\n<p>The group\u2019s Korean member, Yoonchae, introduced herself as a huge fan of top K-pop girl group BLACKPINK since she was nine years old. She said she met the group\u2019s main vocalist, Rose, backstage and recalled being so nervous that she spoke in English, even though she had wanted to speak in Korean. She greeted in her mother tongue only after Rose asked if she can speak Korean, Yoonchae said, adding, \u201cShe was so sweet. She was so nice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The group also previewed its upcoming debut in a commercial for U.S. insurance brand State Farm, set to air during the NFL Super Bowl on Monday. It performed part of the advertisement\u2019s choreography live in the studio with a backing band.<\/p>\n<p>Teasing its forthcoming single, the members hinted at themes of \u201ccolorful,\u201d \u201cenergetic,\u201d \u201chot,\u201d \u201cfun\u201d and \u201cfierce,\u201d miming a tea-drinking gesture.<\/p>\n<p>Formed through Hybe\u2019s global audition program \u201cThe Debut: Dream Academy,\u201d Katseye has been nominated for next month\u2019s iHeartRadio Music Awards and is scheduled to perform at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, in April.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/AEN20260206005500315_03_i_org.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-343759\" alt=\"K-pop girl group Katseye is seen in this photo provided by Hybe Labels.
