Movie, return to helm the sequel from a script by Matthew Fogel, who also penned the original. Hailing from Illumination and Nintendo, the new movie counts Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto as producers. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe Super Mario Bros. Movie surpassed $1.3 billion at the global box office, becoming the year\u2019s second-highest-grossing title (behind Warner Bros.\u2019 Barbie). The films adapt Nintendo\u2019s long-running Mario video game franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/the-super-mario-bros-movie-review-1235366807\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">review of The Super Mario Bros.
