{"id":467988,"date":"2026-02-09T06:37:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T06:37:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/467988\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T06:37:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T06:37:14","slug":"cadillacs-first-f1-livery-shown-to-the-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/467988\/","title":{"rendered":"Cadillac&#8217;s first F1 livery shown to the world"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img width=\"1500\" height=\"776\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-09-at-15.48.44.jpg\" class=\"attachment-featuredImage size-featuredImage wp-post-image\" alt=\"Cadillac F1 livery\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>By Thomas Miles<\/p>\n<p class=\"postdate\">Date posted: 9 February 2026<\/p>\n<p>Cadillac has revealed its first F1 livery, and it already stands out from the rest, giving fans some BAR vibes.<\/p>\n<p>During the recent Super Bowl, Cadillac revealed its 2026 livery for its maiden F1 season with the experienced Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas at the wheel.<\/p>\n<p>It is a bold and groundbreaking design with the livery being split across the centre of the car, with one side black and the other white.<\/p>\n<p>The team made its on-track debut at last weekend\u2019s secret shakedown in Spain in a black testing livery.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105169\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-09-at-15.47.10-875x470.jpg\" alt=\"Cadillac F1 livery\" width=\"875\" height=\"470\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The 2026 scheme is an unconventional break from the uniform F1 designs, which are usually mirrored on each side.<\/p>\n<p>The only livery that can be aligned with Cadillac\u2019s is BAR\u2019s infamous \u201cZip\u201d livery, where separate blue 555 and white Lucky Strike looks were split by a zip and was scrapped after its inaugural 1999 season.<\/p>\n<p>But in 2026 Cadillac is the team making the headlines as it starts from scratch with Ferrari engines to take on the world.<\/p>\n<p>Both Bottas and Perez got a reasonable number of laps under their belts in the new cars at Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe still have lots of problems to solve, and a bit of a mountain to climb, but we are getting there step by step,\u201d Bottas said.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-105168\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Screenshot-2026-02-09-at-15.47.02-875x489.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"875\" height=\"489\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach run we\u2019re getting better and more together as a team.
