Jelena Dokic\u2019s boyfriend Yane Veselinov has broken his silence on her Logies win, announcing he is bursting with pride for his famous partner.<\/p>\n

The retired Aussie tennis star won the Silver Logie for Best Factual or Documentary Program for Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story during Australian TV’s night of nights at Sydney’s The Star on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Dokic, 42, hit the red carpet solo at the Logies despite recently going public with Veselinov, a Melbourne-based hospitality relations manager.<\/p>\n

He took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo holding her gong alongside some heartfelt words of support.<\/p>\n

“Honoured to be holding this incredible Logie award,” Veselinov wrote.<\/p>\n

Dokic’s new beau describes himself on Instagram as a “food and wine enthusiast, pleasure seeker and life enjoyer”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In her Logies speech,\u00a0Dokic made an emotional tribute to her close friend and fellow tennis great Todd Woodbridge<\/a>, but made no mention of her partner.<\/p>\n

“Todd Woodbridge, I don’t know where you are, there,” she said, scanning the crowd.<\/p>\n

“Todd. You’re my person.<\/p>\n

“I say that, and this makes me cry so much because I sat down with you on the table 11 years ago when I retired, and you said to me that I can be a commentator and speaker and bring my story to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Woodbridge, 54, appeared to wipe away a tear following Dokic\u2019s sweet tribute.<\/p>\n

Dokic described herself as “a person who couldn’t string two sentences together, look people in the eye, had no social skills left”, and credited Woodbridge with giving her the belief to rebuild.<\/p>\n

“You were the only one who believed in me, especially professionally,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Thank you for that. I always say to everyone, ‘Be someone\u2019s Todd,’ and I hope that everyone finds a Todd like I did.”<\/p>\n

Dokic confirmed her relationship with Veselinov last month<\/a>\u00a0after SkyNews.com.au published bombshell footage of the pair getting cosy at Melbourne Airport.<\/p>\n

“You are my calm, safe, peaceful and happy place. So glad I found you,” she wrote alongside a romantic snap with her new partner.<\/p>\n

The tennis great split from her previous partner Tin Bukic in late 2022 after an almost two-decade-long relationship.<\/p>\n

She recently opened up on the Mental As Anyone podcast about how the demise of her relationship jeopardised her plans to start a family.<\/p>\n
