The AFL’s ticket price freeze heading into 2026 has now stretched over eight years, while they have adopted a new strategy for the highly-anticipated Anzac Day blockbuster between Collingwood and Essendon.<\/p>\n

General admission tickets at the MCG and Marvel Stadium will remain at $27 for adults, $18 for concession and $5 for juniors aged 14 and under, while children aged four and under continue to be free.\u00a0‘Family Tickets’, consisting of two adults and two children, have been held at $54.<\/p>\n

These prices have been in effect since the 2019 season.<\/p>\n

But for those interested in attending the biggest home-and-away clash on the calendar, tickets will now be split across two days, based on feedback from members and fans.<\/p>\n

Club members will get the first bite at the apple on Thursday, April 19, from 10am. The general public will follow suit 24 hours later, providing space for both types of ticket holders.<\/p>\n

CEO Andrew Dillon said the league’s intention to make games “affordable” was a significant part of their decision-making.<\/p>\n

“The AFL<\/a> is pleased to continue to freeze prices for general admission and family tickets – on any given weekend, there could be up to five games of footy in Victoria, and we are committed to providing quality and affordable games that everyone can enjoy,” Dillon\u202fsaid.\u00a0

“We can’t wait for the historic return of Origin next week in front of a sold-out crowd in Perth before we quickly turn our attention to next month’s Opening Round and Round 1. The feeling and excitement of footy is unrivalled, and the wait is nearly over.”<\/p>\n

In 2026, there are 91 Home and Away matches, split between the two venues (45 at the MCG, 46 at Marvel Stadium).\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
