UFC interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje has questioned Paddy Pimblett\u2019s kicks from their UFC 324 encounter.<\/p>\n

Last month, Justin Gaethje was able to defeat Paddy Pimblett to become a two-time UFC interim lightweight champion. He will now, more than likely, go on to try and unify the belts with undisputed champion Ilia Topuria, and it\u2019s likely to go down at the White House in the summer.<\/p>\n

Of course, a lot has been made<\/a> of Pimblett\u2019s performance, with Gaethje being able to overwhelm him in the striking department. Nobody really knows what\u2019s next for \u2018The Baddy\u2019 but if he\u2019s serious about challenging for gold again in the future, he needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out where he went wrong.<\/p>\n

In a recent podcast appearance, Gaethje gave his thoughts on a few different parts of Pimblett\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Gaethje\u2019s view on Pimblett\u2019s kicks at UFC 324<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just consistently moving [around him] so how\u2019s he going to shoot?\u201d Gaethje said about Pimblett\u2019s lack of takedown attempts. \u201cHe was kicking me but he kicked like a bitch so I walked through that. Once I figured I could walk through it, then it was money.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s crafty as f*ck,\u201d Gaethje said. \u201cIf I sit out here [on the outside] and fight him the whole time, it\u2019s a terrible way to fight him. He\u2019s going to be flashy and he\u2019s going to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI did grapple! I had to win. Had to win,\u201d Gaethje said. \u201cEvery time I put my hooks in, I\u2019m done. I get too high. Even wrestling my whole life, I never put the legs in. Got in trouble every time. I\u2019ll never put hooks in. I get too high consistently and I give up position. I\u2019m in such a good position and I\u2019m landing heavy shots, doing damage and they\u2019re like \u2018f*ck this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
