Drake Maye\u2019s Super Bowl 61 performance drew a lot of attention, and not for the best reasons. The New England Patriots quarterback struggled to read the Seattle Seahawks defense, couldn\u2019t scramble as he did against the Denver Broncos and basically looked disconnected from his playmakers.<\/p>\n
Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert didn\u2019t mince words on the second-year quarterback\u2019s performance on Monday. Benkert compared it to opposing quarterback Sam Darnold when he said he saw ghosts on the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis Drake Maye tape is worse than I thought. There were wide open guys everywhere even when he had time he just wasn\u2019t seeing it. It was the definition of seeing ghosts game,\u201d Benkert said.<\/p>\n
Fellow former quarterback Kurt Warner responded to Benkert\u2019s assessment, noting that Maye had opportunities that he didn\u2019t take advantage of, but it wasn\u2019t as dramatic as his colleague said.<\/p>\n
\u201cInteresting \u2013 wide open guys ALL OVER THE PLACE??? I def didn\u2019t see that\u2026 yes there were some but you make it sound like it was all on him, I can\u2019t agree with that!\u201d Warner said.<\/p>\n
Benkert called out Warner and accused him of constantly trying to pit their analysis against each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour shtick of disagreeing on something of mine that goes viral to then plug your own videos has happened too may times for me to not call out I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever seen you comment on anything you agree with me on, you only pick the ones you don\u2019t agree with to get attention,\u201d Benkert replied.<\/p>\n
Warner was taken aback by that responde. After trying to explain himself to Berkert, he vowed to stop \u201cusing\u201d the former Packer for views and called it a day.<\/p>\n
Drake Maye offers update on potential offseason shoulder surgery<\/p>\n
Before getting beaten by the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60, Drake Maye had a painkilling injection for the game. He experienced right shoulder issues before the game.<\/p>\n

Maye reportedly noted in a Tuesday press conference that he would not undergo surgery to repair his shoulder this offseason. He is expected to heal and recover through rest.<\/p>\n
He took a lot of beating in the game, getting sacked six times by a Seahawks defense that dominated from start to finish.<\/p>\n
