Manchester United want to keep hold of defender Harry Maguire and have snubbed approaches from a number of clubs.<\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> focus on attacking signings could bring one more major deal this summer.<\/p>\n

United have launched a bid for Benjamin Sesko<\/a> and hope to beat Newcastle United in the race for the RB Leipzig striker.<\/p>\n

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo have already joined United<\/a>, with Sesko potentially the missing piece in a brand-new front three.<\/p>\n

United are looking for additions in other areas, but are also attempting to fend off interest in established first-team players.<\/p>\n

Al-Nassr have looked into signing Bruno Fernandes<\/a>, but the United skipper looks set to stay \u2013 as does former captain Harry Maguire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Maguire brings up six years as a United player this summer, having joined from Leicester City in 2019.<\/p>\n

United forked out up to \u00a380million for Maguire<\/a>, and the defender has been through so many ups and downs during his time in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Now with almost 250 United appearances to his name, Maguire has become part of the furniture at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old has his detractors, but he appears to have attracted transfer interest this summer.<\/p>\n

Reports from The Daily Mail<\/a> suggest that United have received approaches from five different clubs as they chase Maguire\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

Three Premier League clubs are thought to have moved for Maguire, while two Italian teams have even explored potential deals.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s stance has been clear: Maguire is going nowhere.<\/p>\n

In fact, Maguire is likely to extend his United contract and could even finish his career at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old is clearly a valued part of Ruben Amorim\u2019s plans, and this rejection suggests a big role for the England ace moving forward.<\/p>\n

Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui are all battling for starting roles in Amorim\u2019s back three.<\/p>\n

United could have considered cashing in on Maguire and reinvesting in other signings, especially with Maguire heading towards 33.<\/p>\n

The suggestion that United have rejected those approaches points towards Amorim counting on Maguire for a while yet, and United\u2019s stance is unlikely to change.<\/p>\n

Harry Maguire\u2019s contract situation at Manchester United<\/p>\n

Maguire earns around \u00a3190,000-a-week at United, but has just one year left on his contract.<\/p>\n

As things stand, Maguire can leave United for free at the end of the upcoming season.<\/p>\n

Maguire signed a six-year contract with United upon his arrival in 2019, and United extended a one-year option on that deal earlier this year.<\/p>\n

That was a fairly simple decision, with Maguire still playing considerable minutes in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

United now face a trickier decision, with wages and contract length something of a dilemma for an experienced defender who may be on the decline in the near future.<\/p>\n
