<\/p>\nAdeeply personal journey has inspired CO7Recovery Founder and Director Tarsh Chapman to bring a world-class suite of scientifically backed health and wellness modalities to the Limestone Coast-the first of their kind in the region.\u2029<\/p>\n
Just over twelve months ago, Ms Chapman\u2019s previously healthy and active mother experienced the sudden onset of a rare autoimmune neurological condition known as Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP).\u2029<\/p>\n
The condition causes the body\u2019s immune system to attack its own nerves and myelin sheath, resulting in progressive muscle weakness, loss of mobility, and, in severe cases, paralysis.\u2029<\/p>\n
In her mother\u2019s case, CIDP rapidly progressed, leaving her wheelchair-bound and unable to walk.\u2029<\/p>\n
With no known cure, early diagnosis and intensive treatment are critical in halting disease progression, reversing nerve damage, and improving long-term outcomes.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cMum spent almost a full year hospitalised in Adelaide, undergoing intensive treatment and rehabilitation,\u201d Ms Chapman explained.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cHer prognosis and recovery journey remain uncertain but we are incredibly grateful that she has now returned home.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cHer life has been permanently altered \u2013 from home modifications to vehicle adaptations \u2013 everything has had to change to accommodate her mobility challenges.\u201d\u2029<\/p>\n
Now home, Ms Chapman\u2019s mother continues a comprehensive rehabilitation program that includes physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, immunosuppressive therapy, and plasma exchange.\u2029<\/p>\n
However, it was during this journey that Ms Chapman identified significant gaps in access to advanced rehabilitation and recovery modalities outside of major metropolitan centres.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cI quickly realised that access to cutting-edge recovery technology and evidence-based therapies is extremely limited in regional areas,\u201d she said.\u2029<\/p>\n
\u201cFor individuals who are unwell, injured, or mobility impaired, the burden of travelling long distances for treatment adds an unnecessary layer of physical, emotional, and financial stress.\u201d\u2029<\/p>\n
This journey became the foundation of CO7Recovery \u2013 a purpose-driven wellness centre designed to deliver world-class recovery, rehabilitation, and performance therapies locally, removing the need for travel to major cities.\u2029<\/p>\n
