\n The Fixture for Rounds 1 to 13 of the Smithy’s VFL season has been confirmed, with a number of exciting matches on Geelong’s schedule\n <\/p>\n
The AFL has confirmed Fixture details for Rounds 1 to 13 of the 2026 Smithy’s VFL season, with Geelong set to feature in a number of blockbuster matches in their opening half of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As announced previously, the VFL Cats will commence their campaign with a clash against Essendon, taking place at GMHBA Stadium on Friday the 20th of March.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Geelong will then back that up with a second straight Friday night match at home, hosting the Box Hill Hawks the following week on Friday the 27th of March.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In total, the Cats will play four of their opening five games at GMHBA Stadium which will include two curtain-raisers, taking on Footscray on the 17th of April and North Melbourne on the 2nd of May, prior to the club’s AFL teams doing battle later in the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The VFL Cats will then hit the road more frequently from Rounds 7 to 13, set to be the away team in five of seven matches across that span which includes games against Brisbane, Southport and Collingwood.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Geelong will also enjoy two early byes to set themselves for the remainder of the season, with a State Game Bye taking place between Rounds 3 and 4, before the Cats have another week off in Round 5.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Match ups for all remaining rounds have also been announced. Dates, times and venues for those rounds will be confirmed after the corresponding rounds of the AFL fixture are scheduled later in the year.<\/p>\n
