For Sunday\u2019s Super Bowl halftime show<\/a>, Bad Bunny<\/a> put on a breathtaking display of Puerto Rican pride woven with a powerful message of love and inclusion. His performance was so inoffensive that even a few<\/a> conservatives<\/a> conceded to enjoying it. Then there was former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin<\/a>, who felt compelled to spew a lot of racist opinions about the show. That ill-advised decision is now blowing up in her face: Zarin was set to appear in an upcoming RHONY reboot on E! called The Golden Life, but Variety reported<\/a> Tuesday that producers fired her because of her comments.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was the worst halftime show ever,\u201d Zarin said in the selfie video<\/a> in question that went up on Sunday but has since been deleted from Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s 250 years that we\u2019re celebrating right now, the United States, and I just don\u2019t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish and, quite frankly, grabbing his \u2018G\u2019 area.\u201d<\/p>\n Jill Zarin\u2019s review of Bad Bunny\u2019s #SuperBowl<\/a> Halftime Show\u2026 \ud83e\udd74 pic.twitter.com\/XH8f0HjQpI<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Gibson Johns (@gibsonoma) February 9, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cTo me, it looked like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the entire thing,\u201d she added. \u201cI think it was an ICE thing.\u201d<\/p>\n Zarin, a proud Trump supporter<\/a>, got plenty of blowback<\/a> from her more progressive Housewives colleagues, who took pains to clarify that they don\u2019t share her views. It sounds like E! agrees. \u201cIn light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in\u00a0The Golden Life,\u201d the production company said in a statement sent to Variety on Monday. \u201cWe remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values.\u201d<\/p>\n Also chiming in: Zarin Fabrics<\/a>, the luxury fabric and upholstery business she used to run with her late husband, and which distanced itself from Jill by unsubtly posting<\/a> a photo of her with a giant red X covering her face.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to be absolutely clear that Jill Zarin has not had ownership of or been associated with Zarin Fabrics for several years,\u201d the brand wrote, adding that its empire is \u201cbuilt on creativity, collaboration, and respect for the diverse communities that shape art, culture, and expression.\u201d It also posted a similar disclaimer to its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n Addressing her departure from E!\u2019s reboot, Zarin told<\/a>\u00a0In Touch\u00a0on Tuesday, \u201cThey didn\u2019t even give me a chance. I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I\u2019m human.\u201d<\/p>\n This is all to say, if you were excited to watch the RHONY reboot (or you\u2019re in the market to buy some custom Gazebo Floral pillows<\/a>), you can still do so while staying on the right side of history.
