\n Lucian Freud\u2019s Etchings: A Creative Collaboration opens at Poole Museum on Saturday, February 14, 2026 and explores the lesser-known printmaking practice of Lucian Freud through his intricate etchings.\n<\/p>\n
\n The free exhibition is part of a touring programme from the V&A.\n<\/p>\n

\n Jaine Fitzpatrick, interim director at Poole Museum, said: “This exhibition isn\u2019t just for art enthusiasts; it\u2019s for anyone who\u2019s curious or simply wants to take a pause.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Even if this isn\u2019t your kind of art, come and explore \u2013 you will leave feeling inspired, refreshed, and connected in ways you didn\u2019t expect.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The exhibition features a unique collection of trial proofs collected by master printer Marc Balakjian, who worked alongside Freud for more than 20 years.\n<\/p>\n
\n Gill Saunders, curator and honorary senior research fellow at the V&A, said: “These extraordinary prints illuminate the remarkable creative partnership between Lucian Freud and master printer Marc Balakjian, offering insights that are rarely accessible to the public.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Freud\u2019s connection to Dorset is also highlighted.\n<\/p>\n
\n The artist attended Bryanston School and later owned a home near Shaftesbury.\n<\/p>\n
\n The exhibition is open until June 21, 2026.\n<\/p>\n
