Fans have turned out in force to catch a glimpse of Australian stars Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi at the premiere of Wuthering Heights in Sydney.<\/p>\n

The two are in town to promote the new movie based on Emily Bront\u00eb’s classic novel, originally published in 1847 under the pen name Ellis Bell.<\/p>\n

Robbie and Elordi sizzle, but Wuthering Heights isn’t quite the full Bront\u00eb<\/a><\/p>\n

The two Queensland “bogans” put on a show but Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights is more wish fulfilment than a meaningful adaptation of the classic novel.<\/p>\n

Robbie and Elordi mixed with fans at the State Theatre, posing for selfies and greeting a crowd eager to rub shoulders with the Hollywood stars.<\/p>\n

Wuthering Heights has opened in cinemas across the country.<\/p>\n

The story follows the passionate and tumultuous love story of Catherine (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi).<\/p>\n

Robbie admits it isn’t a relationship to aspire to.<\/p>\n

“It’s not couple goals,” Robbie told ABC News.<\/p>\n

“[There are] a lot of red flags in their relationship for sure.<\/p>\n

“But I think there is something both extremely wretched and very sweet about their relationship.<\/p>\n

“It’s a very sadomasochistic relationship.”<\/p>\n

Days away from the release of Emerald Fennell’s highly anticipated adaptation of Emily Bront\u00eb’s classic novel, critics and fans alike are still fighting about text fidelity in the comments.<\/p>\n

Elordi believes it’s important to show all types of relationships in art because the reality is that relationships can be difficult.<\/p>\n

“It’s not all rainbows and sunshine and beautiful things and I think it’s actually quite dangerous to present it that way in music and in art,” Elordi said.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s kind of a lie to present it that way.<\/p>\n

“Love is this multi-faceted thing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“It’s beautiful and it’s awful \u2026 and so I think we need to teach everyone about all the different colours.”<\/p>\n

Also at the premiere were Wuthering Heights producer Josey McNamara, fellow Australian Hollywood star Sarah Snook, American model Hailey Bieber, Welsh actor Taron Egerton, and a host of local celebrities and influencers.<\/p>\n
