Apple\u2019s Vision Pro<\/a> is a curious product \u2014 it initially wowed me two years ago, but it was hard to ignore that the visionOS platform felt incomplete without dedicated apps for YouTube and Netflix. Well, it seems that Google has finally decided to take the Vision Pro seriously, as it\u2019s launching a YouTube app on the platform today<\/a>. Previously, you could only view YouTube videos via Safari, or through third-party apps like Tubular Pro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to an Apple representative, the YouTube Vision Pro app features every video on on the service, including shorts, 360, 3D and VR 180 content. I haven\u2019t tried it myself yet, but it certainly couldn\u2019t be worse than trying to navigate through YouTube\u2019s desktop app via finger gestures. Now that Google is spinning up its Android XR ecosystem<\/a>, the company probably couldn\u2019t avoid the Vision Pro for long. And don\u2019t forget, we may also see a cheaper Vision Air next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n
