Aussie comedian Celeste Barber<\/a> and her ‘hot’ husband have split after 20 years together.<\/p>\n

Api Robin confirmed the sad news on Friday night after he changed his Instagram profile description to ‘Formerly Hot Husband’.<\/p>\n

The couple share two sons named Lou Robin and Buddy Robin, while Robin has two daughters from a previous marriage..\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The past few months have been incredibly challenging and deeply heartbreaking for us both,’ his post captioned ‘Heavy hearts’ began.<\/p>\n

‘After much reflection, the decision has been made to separate.<\/p>\n

‘There is still love and respect between us, but sadly we are at capacity and have come to recognise we may want for different thing.<\/p>\n

‘Our priority remains our children and their wellbeing. We kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this.’<\/p>\n

The post was quickly inundated with messages from well-wishers, including Olympic swimming great Libby Trickett and former Big Brother star Reggie Bird.<\/p>\n

The couple (pictured in 2022) were together for two decades before going their separate ways<\/p>\n

Barber was 21 when she met Robin in 2006. The couple tied the knot in Bali seven years later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She is yet to publicly comment on the split.<\/p>\n

Barber, who rose to fame for her celebrity parodies and comedy skits, had previously written and posted about Robin frequently, referring to him as the ‘hot husband’ and ‘M\u0101ori Adonis’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It’s harder to live with than I originally thought,’ she previously joked in 2019.<\/p>\n

‘Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m no dropped pie, but there isn’t a ‘hot wifey’ hashtag hanging around my neck.’<\/p>\n

She said it was love at first sight when they met and\u00a0 joked that in the early stages of their romance she’d already determined their roles in the relationship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I’m hilarious. You’re breathtaking. I believe this is something that needs to take place in any relationship when the roles are so obvious,’ she said.<\/p>\n

‘If I met him on Kiss Bang Love, I would have kissed him blindfolded and married him on the spot.<\/p>\n

‘He’s kind, smart, caring and very, VERY patient. He’s a fun dad and has really thrown his back into tolerating me. I love him with all the wine in the fridge.’<\/p>\n

Robin last paid tribute to his wife in November after the comedian took her worldwide Backup Dancer tour to the United States.<\/p>\n

‘What an encore! Thank you! So proud of you,’ he posted.<\/p>\n
