AS Monaco will not receive a \u20ac500,000 advance from the LNB due to legal limits amid an estimated \u20ac15 million deficit.<\/p>\n

The French LNB Pro A League has decided not to provide a \u20ac500,000 financial advance to AS Monaco<\/a>, despite earlier considerations. According to L’Equipe<\/a>, the league is legally unable to release such funds, as it operates under France’s 1901 non-profit association law.<\/p>\n

The advance had been proposed to prevent a potential players’ strike ahead of last Sunday’s game in Chalon. It was intended as a temporary measure to support players who had gone unpaid for several weeks.<\/p>\n

Although the advance will not be granted, the LNB has remained involved in the situation.<\/p>\n

Per L’Equipe, a video conference reportedly took place on Tuesday with AS Monaco players, head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, and the league’s president and CEO.<\/p>\n

Players reportedly received certain financial guarantees, though details have not been made public.<\/p>\n

The club’s financial situation remains tense, with a deficit estimated at nearly \u20ac15 million.<\/p>\n

A court hearing is scheduled for March 6 in Monaco to determine whether the club is insolvent and whether a state takeover may be necessary.<\/p>\n
