{"id":480761,"date":"2026-02-15T02:43:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T02:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/480761\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T02:43:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T02:43:12","slug":"reds-sign-1b-nathaniel-lowe-to-minors-deal-invite-to-spring-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/480761\/","title":{"rendered":"Reds sign 1B Nathaniel Lowe to minors deal, invite to spring training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GOODYEAR, Ariz. &#8212; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/cin\/cincinnati-reds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cincinnati Reds<\/a> signed veteran first baseman <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/40538\/nathaniel-lowe\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nathaniel Lowe<\/a> to a minor league contract with an invite to major league camp in spring training, the team announced Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The 30-year-old Lowe split time between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/wsh\/washington-nationals\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Nationals<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/bos\/boston-red-sox\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boston Red Sox<\/a> last season.
