{"id":481415,"date":"2026-02-15T10:31:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T10:31:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/481415\/"},"modified":"2026-02-15T10:31:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T10:31:13","slug":"supercars-racer-escapes-massive-bathurst-12-hour-shunt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/481415\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars racer escapes massive Bathurst 12 Hour shunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-1192-James-Golding\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">JAMES Golding<\/a> has walked away from a savage crash during the eighth hour of the Meguiar\u2019s Bathurst 12 Hour.<\/p>\n<p>The Blanchard Racing Team driver spun the #268 Team BRM Audi at Sulman Park and making heavy left-rear contact with the wall.<\/p>\n<p>The car briefly rode the wall after the impact and a flash fire broke out, with the car sliding to a stop after bumping the wall on the inside of the circuit.<\/p>\n<p>V8 Sleuth understands a spectator is receiving medical treatment in the wake of the crash, which sent parts scattering beyond the concrete wall.<\/p>\n<p>It marked the car\u2019s second crash of the day, having lost 39 laps making repairs from car owner Mark Rosser\u2019s spin at Skyline this morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean the first thing is that Jimmy\u2019s alright, that\u2019s the main thing,\u201d Rosser told the broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe car\u2019s probably toast, I think.
