Voyager\u2019s \u201cYear of Hell,\u201d as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stevivor.com\/tag\/star-trek-voyager-across-the-unknown\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Star Trek Voyager Across the Unknown<\/a>\u00a0is embracing its survival nature and seeking to put captains through \u201cyears of hell,\u201d according to gameXcite founder and CEO, Patrick Streppel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trekmovie.com\/?p=129110\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Speaking with yours truly for continued TrekMovie coverage of the game<\/a>, Streppel confirmed that\u00a0Across the Unknown\u00a0has three difficulty levels, and that none of them will truly be a cakewalk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have three difficulty settings ranging from an adventure mode that lets players focus more on the story to experiencing \u2018years of hell\u2019 in the Delta Quadrant,\u201d Streppel told me. \u201cBut make no mistake: We have developed a survival game and like in the show, players should feel the weight of command!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the game is not a rogue-like, restarting a sector and improving your strategy is sometimes advisable and part of the challenge to be a starship captain,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Streppel also stressed that this is a\u00a0Trek\u00a0game \u201cmade by fans for fans,\u201d while emphasising that \u201cthis is not a AAA production, but we tried to re-create the full experience of being a starship captain, stranded in the Delta Quadrant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to Streppel for his time, especially on the eve of the game\u2019s launch.
