The Fighter vs. The Writer<\/a>, UFC legend Matt Brown predicted a less than optimistic assessment of the upcoming White House card.<\/p>\n\ufeff<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s hard to imagine you\u2019re not [setting yourself up for disappointment],\u201d Brown said of White.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause they don\u2019t have the stars that they used to have, and Conor\u2019s not fighting on it. I don\u2019t give a f*** what anybody says, what he says, I don\u2019t care what Dana [White] says. They\u2019re using him to promote it and using his name to get it out there. He\u2019s not fighting on that s***.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the even bigger issue is they can make some pretty significant, good fights but what about Americans?\u201d Brown continued on White. \u201cIt\u2019s at the White House. That\u2019s the problem, they have so few American [stars]. That\u2019s a problem. Unless they just go ahead and say you know what? F*** whether it\u2019s American or not, we\u2019ll just make it international, which is what I think you almost have to do and the UFC is an international sport.\u201d<\/p>\n
White recently claimed that the White House fight lineup was \u2018finalized\u2019 and announcements are expected to be made in the coming weeks. The event is scheduled for June 14th on the south lawn of the White House.<\/p>\n
