Tennessee senior quarterback\u00a0Joey Aguilar<\/a> is attempting to gain eligibility to play for the Vols in 2026.<\/p>\n

After being granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA for eligibility on Feb. 4, he had a preliminary injunction hearing in Knox County Chancery Court on Feb. 13. Chancellor Christopher D. Heagerty did not make a ruling on Feb. 13 for Tennessee\u2019s signal-caller.<\/p>\n

Aguilar will compete in the NFL scouting combine<\/a>, according to Chris Low of On3.<\/p>\n

“Still hopeful of winning in court, Tennessee\u2019s Joey Aguilar is headed to the NFL combine just in case, and will preserve his eligibility by staying for a shorter window, only 48 hours,” Low announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0NFL scouting combine\u00a0will take place Feb. 23\u2013March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.<\/p>\n

Former Tennessee defensive back\u00a0Colton Hood<\/a>, defensive back\u00a0Jermod McCoy<\/a>, tight end\u00a0Miles Kitselman<\/a>, defensive lineman\u00a0Bryson Eason<\/a>, defensive lineman\u00a0Joshua Josephs<\/a>\u00a0and wide receiver\u00a0Chris Brazzell II<\/a>\u00a0were invited to the 2026 NFL scouting combine.<\/p>\n
