{"id":489425,"date":"2026-02-19T05:16:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T05:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/489425\/"},"modified":"2026-02-19T05:16:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T05:16:12","slug":"australian-man-intercepted-charged-with-child-sex-offences-after-airport-luggage-find","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/489425\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian man intercepted, charged with child sex offences after airport luggage find"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com.au\/queensland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"Queensland\">Queensland<\/a> man has appeared in court after allegedly offering $700 to procure children to sexually abuse while overseas.<\/p>\n<p>The man, whio is in his 40s, arrived at Sydney Airport on a flight from China earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>Australian Border Force officers intercepted the man and examined his luggage after intelligence-led screening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/16ec9ac1-edab-447b-ac94-e630c6c3992e.jpeg\"   alt=\"\"\/>A 49-year-old Queensland has been charged with trying to pay for access to children for sexual abuse overseas.
