{"id":490016,"date":"2026-02-19T11:30:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T11:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/490016\/"},"modified":"2026-02-19T11:30:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T11:30:07","slug":"grizzlies-star-ja-morant-to-miss-at-least-two-more-weeks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/490016\/","title":{"rendered":"Grizzlies star Ja Morant to miss at least two more weeks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MEMPHIS, Tenn. &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com.au\/nba\/team\/_\/name\/mem\/memphis-grizzlies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> guard <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/4279888\/ja-morant\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ja Morant<\/a> will miss at least two more weeks as he continues his recovery after spraining the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow on Jan. 21.<\/p>\n<p>The Grizzlies announced Wednesday that the two-time All-Star is progressing in his rehabilitation but continues to feel discomfort. The Grizzlies said Morant will be re-evaluated in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Grizzlies officials also said guard <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/2581018\/kentavious-caldwell-pope\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kentavious Caldwell-Pope<\/a> will undergo surgery Thursday to address misalignment of his right pinky finger. A timeline on his recovery will be announced after the procedure.<\/p>\n<p>Morant, 26, has appeared in just 20 games for the Grizzlies this season.
