Injured factory Honda WorldSBK rookie Jake Dixon has undergone surgery in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
The former Moto2<\/a> title race winner was ruled out of a HRC WorldSBK<\/a> debut in this weekend\u2019s season opener when he fractured his left wrist on Tuesday\u2019s final day of testing at Phillip Island.<\/p>\n HRC has now revealed that the Englishman suffered \u201cmultiple fractures to his left wrist and hand\u201d in the accident, which occurred at Turn 11 on his first flying lap of the day.<\/p>\n \u201cFollowing an initial medical assessment at the circuit, Dixon<\/a> was transported to Melbourne, where further examinations confirmed the need for surgical intervention to stabilise the fractures,\u201d read a HRC statement.<\/p>\n \u201cThe procedure was completed successfully without complications.
