\n\tThe upcoming season will \u201ccontinue to embrace and engage its devoted audience, delivering daily inspiration and creating a joyful space where viewers can \u201cFeel the Love\u201d \u2014 a message brought to life in every episode through Jennifer\u2019s authentic voice.\u201d The Jennifer Hudson Show will also bring back the \u201cSpirit Tunnel,\u201d which recently earned the talk show its first Webby and Shorty Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new season will continue to bring celebrity guests, online trends, and the latest pop culture news. Previously, \u201cThe Jennifer Hudson Show\u201d has welcomed a lineup of guests that includes\u00a0former First Lady Michelle Obama, Demi Moore, Angela Bassett, Mikey Madison, and Tina Knowles. The show has also spotlighted the cast of \u201cNo Good Deed,\u201d featuring Ray Romano, Lisa Kudrow, and Luke Wilson, the ensemble of \u201cThe Six Triple Eight\u201d and the cast of \u201cG20\u201d with Viola Davis.<\/p>\n

\t\tFIRST LOOKS\t<\/p>\n

\n\tApple TV+ has released the trailer for the third season of \u201cInvasion,\u201d the sci-fi drama series from Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg and David Weil. The 10-episode season will return on Friday, Aug. 22 on Apple TV+ with one episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday through Oct. 24.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cInvasion\u201d follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. As the ultimate apex aliens have finally emerged, it will take all our heroes working together, using all their experience and expertise to save humanity. New relationships are formed, old relationships are challenged and even shattered, as an international cast of characters must become a team before it\u2019s too late. Season 3 will follow as these perspectives collide for the first time on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe third season of \u201cInvasion\u201d stars returning cast members Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Shane Zaza and Enver Gjokaj, and introduces new series regular Erika Alexander.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is created by Kinberg and Weil, who also serve as executive producers alongside Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Dan Dietz, Katie O\u2019Connell Marsh and Nick Nantell. The first and second seasons of \u201cInvasion\u201d are streaming globally on Apple TV+.<\/p>\n

\t\tPROGRAMMING\t<\/p>\n

\n\tAMC Networks\u2019 Acorn TV and German public television broadcaster ZDF have greenlit a fourth season of the original British crime drama series \u201cThe Chelsea Detective.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDeveloped at production company Expectation, \u201cThe Chelsea Detective\u2019s\u201d fourth season will see the return of Detectives Max Arnold (Adrian Scarborough) and Layla Walsh (Vanessa Emme) as they investigate crimes in London\u2019s elite Chelsea neighborhood. Season 4 promises four new murders in the neighborhood, which Max and Layla will track to uncover webs of corruption and deceit across Britain\u2019s uppermost echelon. <\/p>\n

\n\tAlongside Scarborough and Walsh, series regulars Sophie Stone, Lucy Phelps, Peter Bankol\u00e9 and Frances Barber all return to their roles in the Season 4 to help\u2014or sometimes hinder\u2014the heroes in their quest for answers and justice. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Chelsea Detective\u2019s\u201d fourth season will run for four episodes, each 90 minutes long. Production has commenced in London, and the new season will be available to stream on Acorn TV in 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tABC Localish series \u201cThe Advocate with Sonia Baghdady\u201d has been greenlit for nationwide broadcast syndication across major networks. It will begin airing on Fox, Nexstar, CBS, ABC, Hearst, Tegna, Scripps, Weigel and Hubbard among other networks starting the week of Sep. 6.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe lifestyle variety series, hosted by Baghdady, includes inspirational interviews with celebrities and average citizens alike to share stories focusing on health, wellness, and hope. Produced by equalpride studios and distributed by Sewee Entertainment, \u201cThe Advocate with Sonia Baghdady\u201d initially launched in 2024 and won a 2025 Telly Award for its episode \u201cNowhere to Go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\tCASTINGS\t<\/p>\n

\n\tSky and STARZ have announced that Tamsin Greig (\u201cRiot Women,\u201d \u201cFriday Night Dinner\u201d) and Rish Shah (\u201cOvercompensating,\u201d \u201cJoy\u201d) will be joining Season 2 of \u201cSweetpea.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason 2 of \u201cSweetpea\u201d will follow Rhiannon Lewis (Ella Purnell) after murdering her boyfriend, AJ in the Season 1 finale. As Rhiannon is navigating her new promotion at work, Marina (Leah Harvey) is\u00a0 on the hunt to chasing her down. When a copycat killer threatens to expose Rhiannon, she\u2019s forced to question whether AJ was right: is she a monster?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tShah will be playing Rhiannon\u2019s romantic interest,Gabriel, with Greig starring as AJ\u2019s mother, Liv. Taj Atwal (\u201cRiot Women,\u201d \u201cLine of Duty\u201d) will play Freya, Rhiannon\u2019s formidable new boss at the Carnsham Gazette, while Jenny Walser (\u201cHeartstopper,\u201d \u201cStar City\u201d) plays Rhiannon\u2019s new friend, Daisy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe are thrilled that \u201cSweetpea\u201d and the world of Carnsham are back in full swing for Season 2, with new and exciting characters for what promises to be an intoxicating ride for Rhiannon as she continues on her murderous journey,\u201d said Purnell, Ella Jones and Patrick Walters, who serve as executive producers on the series. \u201cThis season, the stakes are even higher, and as the consequences of her actions begin to close in, questions of morality and justice will come into play.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEpisodes 1, 5 and 6 of \u201cSweetpea\u201d will be directed by Ella Jones (\u201cSweetpea\u201d S1, \u201cThe Baby\u201d), with Episodes 2, 3 and 4 will be directed by Coky Giedroyc (\u201cHow to Build a Girl,\u201d \u201cSave Me.\u201d) The series is written by Selina Lim, Emme Hoy, Anna Jordan and Laura Jayne Tunbridge. \u201cSweetpea\u201d is based on C.J. Skuse\u2019s novel of the same name. The series is produced by See-Saw Films and fanboy in association with Sky Studios.<\/p>\n

\n\tMuck Media, the production company behind \u201cTrafficked with Mariana van Zeller\u201d and \u201cScience Fair: The Series,\u201d has hired Yuna Ma as its new head of production.<\/p>\n
