Subject line: \u201cThe UCI launches a consultation on the future of the organisational model for men\u2019s and women\u2019s professional road cycling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The aim? \u201cTo develop the organisational model of the sport and thereby strengthen its long-term attractiveness.\u201d And who should (or can) help shape that? \u201cThe UCI invites all parties involved \u2014 riders, organisers, representatives and owners of UCI teams, as well as representatives of national federations \u2014 to contribute individually to this discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read on below the tweet!<\/p>\n<p>Vollering responds immediately<\/p>\n<p>That message certainly didn\u2019t fall on deaf ears. With the weather around Lake Lucerne \u2014 where she is based in Switzerland \u2014 not cooperating, Demi Vollering got in the car and headed to Italy to explore Lake Como on a six-hour ride.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd now I really want a women\u2019s Tour of Lombardy,\u201d the FDJ\u2013SUEZ rider and reigning European champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DU_aG9hCLc7\/?img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">realised <\/a>after her \u2018recon\u2019 over, among other roads, the Muro di Sormano. \u201cConsider this my first response to your letter, David Lappartient,\u201d she added, cleverly referencing the UCI president\u2019s message.Vollering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/cycling\/vollering-puts-the-cherry-on-top-with-dominant-valencia-finale-after-superb-sprint\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">has already won the Tour of Valencia <\/a>this season and will normally resume her campaign at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
