\t<\/p>\nCarrying around tennis balls is a popular trend THON goers use for a distraction from standing for a long time and to help stay awake. But what possible games could be played with a tennis ball?<\/p>\n
Hot Potato<\/p>\n
Hot Potato is a fast-paced, moving game with excitement at all moments. The anticipation it brings could help keep people energized throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n
Taps<\/p>\n
Taps is a game of catch where each player must jump, catch, and throw all together. If at any point you drop the ball or fail to jump, you are out.<\/p>\n
This definitely could keep blood flowing throughout anyone\u2019s system. The jump can also give your feet some movement and a nice stretch from standing.<\/p>\n
Categories<\/p>\n
Foods, colors, music, restaurants in State College, or anything you can think of! Keep passing the ball around until someone can\u2019t name any more, then that person is out.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s nice to get to know the people around you better, and categories is a great ice-breaker and bonding game that could be played. <\/p>\n
Catch<\/p>\n
See how many times you can truly catch a ball with a group or partner. A good way to organize it is to try to decide who has the highest number of back-to-back passes in a row.<\/p>\n
Hit & Catch<\/p>\n
This is similar to catch, except adding a bounce pass in between. Typically, there is a bouncer and a thrower, so see how many times you can do it!<\/p>\n
There can also be variations to this. You can see how many times you can bounce a ball back and forth with someone, adding a bounce each time.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s harder than it looks to get seven bounces when passing!<\/p>\n
Spider Circus<\/p>\n
This game is all about finding fun ways to move the ball. Try passing it behind your back, between your legs, bouncing, or however.<\/p>\n
These passes are so uncoordinated and different, it looks like a circus act. It\u2019s a great way to get creative and a little silly, which is great when feeling tired.<\/p>\n
Balance & Toss<\/p>\n
Participants can pass the ball around while standing on one leg, or even with just one arm. Stretching is a huge part of THON, and this allows you to have fun while giving your legs a good break.<\/p>\n
There are various types of games anyone could play with a tennis ball. It\u2019s a great opportunity to be creative and get some energy throughout THON weekend. <\/p>\n
