World\u2019s 101 Best Steak Restaurants<\/a> does what it says on the tin. Every year in May, the London-based guide drops an annual ranking of the world\u2019s hottest grills, assessed by a network of \u201csteak ambassadors\u201d visiting hundreds of venues across five continents.<\/p>\n

Australia crushed it\u00a0last year<\/a>,\u00a0with 17 restaurants making the list. Sydney dominated with 11 entries and was named the \u201cBest Steak City in the World\u201d. Neil Perry\u2019s luxe Double Bay diner, Margaret<\/a>, came second overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ahead of its 2026 global ranking, the guide rolled out an Australian top 30 on social media<\/a>\u00a0over the weekend.\u00a0As expected, Margaret took first place, but Perry scored a deuce with his Italian stallion, Gran Torino \u2013 also in Double Bay \u2013 landing at seven.<\/p>\n

Lennox Hastie\u2019s Firedoor took second spot, followed by Aalia in third. Meanwhile, Brisbane\u2019s Agnes scored highest outside Sydney at four, with Jake Kellie\u2019s Arkh\u00e9, in Adelaide, at five. From Melbourne, Steer Dining Room placed sixth and Victor Churchill took eighth. The International and Porte\u00f1o rounded out the Sydney set at nine and ten, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n
