Behind him the scrap for the podium was intense.

It was a bad night for the Junior class leader Milan Schmuser with an unlucky heavy dab in practice which caused a broken leg and a new leader emerging in the second-tier category.

Superpole hot lap

Returning to the championship at this round, Mani Lettenbichler was the last of the qualifiers and therefore first rider out to set the benchmark in Superpole.

The Stark boys Toby Martyn and Eddie Karlsson also looked neat for their near identical times before Mitch Brightmore stitched together a great lap but crashed in the final sand.

Jonny Walker followed to go mistake-free and faster than anyone but that man Billy Bolt was again at his best for the best lap of anyone all day and night right when it mattered for a 34s dead, over a second faster than Walker. That was five out of five SP results for Bolt.

Moto 1

Mitch Brightmore took the holeshot in the first feature race to lead as a poor start from Bolt (a feature of the night for him) saw the points leader mid-pack on the first lap. But not for long as frankly no-one else has Billy’s balls on the obstacles and he literally jumped through to the lead.

The fight between Brightmore, Walker, Martyn and Karlsson was a good one which repeated throughout the night for the podium. It meant the pace was high in a dramatic race.

When the slippery logs sent Billy to the floor, the boys caught him for a great closing two laps with five riders in-line, hounding each other for any sniff of a mistake from the rival in front.

It was super-close but in the end it was the same result with Bolt taking the win ahead of Brightmore holding off Walker, Martyn and Karlsson.

Moto 2

Race two was about as dramatic as SuperEnduro gets with some serious action across the 11 intense laps.

Alfredo Gomez then Dominik Olszowy were the early leaders, but the faster riders weren’t long coming through with Walker making his way forward and Bolt quick to follow, once he’d dispatched Karlsson also on a mission from the reverse grid start.

Billy once again pieced the track together to jump past Jonny for the lead but the Triumph rider wasn’t done and matched the Husqvarna’s wheel tracks.

But when Diogo Vieira didn’t pay enough attention to his rear view mirror as he got lapped by Bolt, a mistake right in front of Walker took them both out and that allowed Bolt off the hook for yet another easy win. Walker sustained a hand injury in the process.

Benefitting from that game-changing error, Karlsson snicked by and extended his advantage over those behind to take second place at the flag. The Stark team were celebrating with Toby Martyn holding firm to bat off pressure from Mitch Brightmore for a 2-3 result for the Spanish manufacturer. Walker picked himself up for fifth behind Mitch.

Moto 3

Toby Martyn took the holeshot in the final moto but it wasn’t long before his teammate Karlsson was through on lap one. Ash Brightmore again piled it in turn one of the third moto, like he had in the opening round, and that held up Bolt who had laid down yet another poor gate drop.

It didn’t matter of course because Bolt’s unrivalled speed across the obstacles meant he was quickly muscling his bike and rivals out the way to hit the front. What can we say? He is a class of one here and claims another perfect night with a 63-point maximum haul. He now eyes-up claiming the world title in Newcastle next weekend.

Meanwhile a heck of a scrap was going on behind between the same gaggle of Karlsson, Martyn, Brightmore and Walker. Eddie put the clean laps in to edge clear in second but Brightmore worked hard to steal it away and that earned the X-Grip rider second on the night.

Karlsson was good for his third place another overall podium on a good night for Stark with Martyn fourth and Jonny Walker taking his worst result of the season in fifth.

SuperEnduro Rnd 5 Belgrade Prestige class overall results:

Junior World Championship

The big news in the Junior category was the points leader, German Milan Schmuser was not at the races due to a broken tibia sustained at the very start of practice – it was a simple mistake but hugely costly and we wish him all the best.

Emerging from Schmuser’s shadow, second in the points table, Toby Shaw filled the gap with an early meaningful pass on Manuel Gomez for the lead which he carried right to the flag for a confident win.

Henry Strauss and Gomez had a great fight for P2 before the German went down and Spaniard rode the storm to claim P2 ahead of a hard fighting Frasier Lampkin third.

Not for the first time Burts Crayston made the best of the second row start with Frasier Lampkin and Manuel Gomez picking up their moto one battle in pursuit.

The Stark rider Gomez looked smoother and picked off the Beta rider for the lead and went on to clock a victory.

Shaw was slower out the blocks and battled with Strauss and Lampkin in the podium fight. Shaw got up to second but made a howler on the tyre section to drop to fourth leaving Lampkin fighting off Strauss

Moto three saw Gomez out front early with Shaw in tow and American Niko Piazza looking good on the Triumph fight for a podium place.

Shaw again ticked off the laps with consistency, extending a lead while the noise went on behind him. The Eurotek rider now looks hot in the title race taking the virtual red plate (joint on points with the injured Schmuser) to his home round next weekend.

Behind, the Stark rider Gomez was solid for second ahead of a fight between Piazza and Lampkin for third. Mistakes from the American let Lampkin through and he stayed firm for P3.

The overall on the night goes to Gomez by one point from Shaw and Lampkin for a maiden Junior podium.

SuperEnduro Rnd 5 Belgrade Junior class overall results:

Youth World Championship

The 125 class had more room and they revelled in it as fastest qualifier Luca Kropitsch made a flying start in the first race. It didn’t last as first Eneko Martinez and then points leader Wotjek Walczak jumped through to lead and would go on to take the win ahead of the Spaniard.

Second in the points at the start of the race, Connor Watson had a nightmare with mistakes even before the gate dropped which cost him dearly in the points table.

Watson made amends in moto two and took the lead from Luca Kropitsch, holding the advantage until the second to last turn on the final lap where a mistake put him off the track and, despite an attempt to sneak the win, Walczak was awarded the victory for a double on the night.

With Watson having a mare tonight, the Polish rider has a chance to grab the title next weekend in Newcastle.

Jiri Pokorny the Czech rider was a comfortable winner in both national/Expert races.

SuperEnduro Rnd 5 Belgrade Prestige class overall results:

Photo Credit: Future7Media | Nicki Martinez

2026 SuperEnduro World Championship round five results from Belgrade, Serbia where Billy Bolt batted off bad starts for…

[572
64,63,125619,249875,806,805,803,804,62367,85,153531
0":"post-495903","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-motosport","8":"tag-au","9":"tag-australia","10":"tag-billy-bolt","11":"tag-milan-schmuser","12":"tag-motor","13":"tag-motor-sports","14":"tag-motosport","15":"tag-motosports","16":"tag-serbia","17":"tag-sports","18":"tag-superenduro
["GET
