According to WHAS11, New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said Moore\u2019s body was discovered in a garage.<\/p>\n
Moore was born in New Albany, Indiana in which he was a three-sport athlete at New Albany High School before transferring to Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was named the state\u2019s Gatorade Player of the Year in 2017.<\/p>\n
The receiver was a standout at Purdue in which he had 1,258 receiving yards on 114 receptions along with 12 touchdowns and was named a first-team All-American.<\/p>\n
Purdue released a statement upon the news of Moore\u2019s death, saying that he was a \u201clegendary Boilermaker.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Purdue Football family is deeply saddened by the news of Rondale Moore\u2019s tragic passing,\u201d the team posted on X Saturday. \u201cAn All-American with an infectious smile, Rondale was a joy on and off the field. Someone who left this world too soon, Rondale will be remembered as a legendary Boilermaker.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur thoughts and prayers are with Rondale\u2019s family and loved ones during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jeff Brohm, Moore\u2019s head coach at Purdue who now coaches at Louisville, also released a statement on his death shortly after the news was announced.<\/p>\n
\u201cRondale Moore was a complete joy to coach,\u201d Brohm wrote in a post on X. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe ultimate competitor that wouldn\u2019t back down from any challenge. Rondale had a work ethic unmatched by anyone. A great teammate that would come through in any situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all loved Rondale, we loved his smile and competitive edge that always wanted to please everyone he came in contact with. We offer all of our thoughts and prayers to Rondale and his family, we love him very much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and spent three seasons in Arizona before being traded to the Falcons following the 2023 season.<\/p>\n
He ultimately never suited up for the Falcons as he was placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in training camp ahead of the 2024 season.<\/p>\n
