\n\t\tVale Trevor John Gilmour<\/p>\n
The West Adelaide Football Club, along with Past Players and Officials, mourn the passing of Trevor Gilmour aged 84.<\/p>\n
Wearing number 15, Trevor made his debut for West Adelaide against Central District at Elizabeth Oval on 18th\u00a0April 1970 and played another game in 1970.<\/p>\n
Trevor arrived at Westies with his two brothers, Kevin and Alex on the back of the trio playing in the Nhill premiership team of 1969.<\/p>\n
Nhill stalwart Rob Gersch said, \u201cThe Gilmour brothers played a big part in the success of the Nhill Football Club.<\/p>\n
They were three brothers who would run in a straight line and set an example for the club. They made other players walk taller\u201d.<\/p>\n
Kevin went on to play 20 League games and 5 Seconds games in 1970 and 1971.<\/p>\n
Of Trevor who played over 200 games for the Nhill Tigers, Gersch said, \u201cIn my experience, Trevor was pound for pound the best Wimmera League player there has been.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trevor played 5 Seconds games in 1970, before breaking a leg and another 2 Seconds games in 1971.<\/p>\n
From far away in Western Australia and in declining health, Trevor still showed an interest in the fortunes of the Bloods.<\/p>\n
Our thoughts are with Trevor\u2019s wife Michele and the extended Gilmour family during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
