Credit: Lorde\/IG<\/p>\nPerth fans of Kiwi songstress Lorde might be concerned she\u2019s run out of gas ahead of her local performance this week, with the Solar Power singer delivering a worrying health update from her hotel bed on Monday evening following back-to-back performances in Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Launching the Australia and New Zealand leg of her Ultrasound World Tour in Auckland on February 11, the 29-year-old is scheduled to end her jam-packed campaign at RAC Arena on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
However, squeezing what would be eight shows into a fortnight has proven taxing, with the performer addressing the physical toll of her high-energy outings in a series of candid social media posts.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m a little sick in bed, but I just wanted to say how insane these shows have been the last two nights in Melbourne,\u201d Lorde told fans.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was like, it\u2019s just crazy. I don\u2019t have the language to describe what it\u2019s like being part of this with you, and so sometimes I don\u2019t talk about it, but just know like that I\u2019m having the greatest time ever, and I\u2019m so grateful to you all for just showing up.\u201d<\/p>\n

In good spirits but visibly drained, the singer revealed she\u2019s become accustomed to feeling under the weather while touring her fourth studio album, Virgin.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring Ultrasound I get sick every two weeks… I think it\u2019s because of the \u2018David walk\u2019,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cDo I have regrets? No I do not!\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u2018David walk\u2019 refers to Lorde\u2019s customary pilgrimage into entry the crowd while performing her biblically-inspired track David \u2014 typically the penultimate song of her tour performances.<\/p>\n
Flanked by scores of fans in the mosh pit as she parts the seas and wanders through them, the singer often embraces onlookers and thereby exposes herself to new bacteria \u2014 as illustrated by germ emojis accompanying her post.<\/p>\n
The star has also sought to ward off the risk of dehydration while in Australia, keeping fluid intake high post-performances.<\/p>\n
\u201cSummer Ultrasound is different, immediate suck down of fluids necessary,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Lorde will be supported by American singer and rapper Kevin Abstract in Perth on February 25.<\/p>\n
