A senior executive at the National Australia Bank (NAB) has denied she used AI to write what some have labelled the ‘worst LinkedIn post of all time’.<\/p>\n

NAB retail bank boss Ana Marinkovic took to LinkedIn after former US vice president Kamala Harris spoke at a corporate event she attended last week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Today I had the rare opportunity to listen \u2014 not merely hear \u2014 (Harris) speak at the Women Unlimited Leadership Summit. In a world saturated with noise, this distinction feels increasingly precious,’ the post began.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘From the moment (Harris) stepped up, there was no pretense \u2014 just a seasoned mind wrestling with our era’s defining fault lines.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘She didn’t shout or sensationalize; she articulated. Which, in many ways, is her enduring legacy: a reminder that clarity still matters.’<\/p>\n

AFR columnist Mark Di Stefano slammed the post as one of the ‘worst posts ever committed to LinkedIn’, questioning whether it was written by AI.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The post featured plenty of em-dashes and jumbled clich\u00e9s which an AI detection tool flagged as a product of a chatbot.<\/p>\n

The post also featured Americanised spellings while the overuse of ‘\u2014’, nine of them in total, is often a trademark of ChatGPT’s AI.<\/p>\n

The banking boss hit back at ‘fake news and misinformation’ after questions were raised about her social media post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It’s an important distinction in an era of fake news and misinformation that often targets those that can least defend themselves,’ she wrote on LinkedIn.<\/p>\n

Many on LinkedIn however weren’t convinced the post was AI-generated.<\/p>\n

‘Simply brilliant and a powerful reflection. Indeed, a compelling reminder for all leaders,’ one person told Ms Marinkovic.<\/p>\n

‘Thank you for sharing your reflections Ana Marinkovic. What an amazing experience,’ another said.<\/p>\n

Ms Marinkovic, a refugee from Serbia, denied her post was made using AI.<\/p>\n

A NAB spokesperson told the Australian Financial Review<\/a> that Marinkovic wrote the entire post without the use of AI.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When contacted by Daily Mail, a NAB spokesperson said the bank would not be making any further comments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ms Marinkovic worked at the ANZ bank for 14 years before moving to NAB in 2019 as an executive general manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n
