TWICE<\/a> appeared on The Tonight Show<\/a> to perform their song \u201cStrategy.\u201d The track was originally released in 2024 as part of the K-pop group<\/a>\u2018s EP of the same name. The recorded version features Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>, although she did not join the musicians for the performance.<\/p>\n

The girl group revisited the track on the late-night show to celebrate its inclusion in Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters<\/a>, which is currently up for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.<\/p>\n

Last year, TWICE made history as the first female K-pop act to headlin<\/a>e<\/a> Lollapalooza<\/a> \u2014 or\u00a0Twicepalooza, as their fans dubbed the event. In October, they became the first K-pop group to perform at the Victoria\u2019s Secret Fashion Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Group members Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon recorded \u201cTakedown,\u201d a new song, for the\u00a0KPop Demon Hunters\u00a0soundtrack.\u00a0Notably, the members appear in human form singing the track at the end of the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t accept this because we knew it would be a huge success,\u201d Chaeyoung\u00a0told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a>. \u201cIt just sounded like fun. The soundtrack itself is very different from our style, so it was an opportunity to challenge ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWhenever I read articles or see that the songs from the movie are topping the\u00a0Billboard\u00a0chart, I am really grateful we had this opportunity. We never imagined that\u00a0KPop Demon Hunters\u00a0was going to become an international sensation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kpop Demon Hunters has remained in the zeitgeist since its release last year. Its lead song, \u201cGolden,\u201d\u00a0won<\/a>\u00a0a Golden Globe and Critics\u2019 Choice Award, and is\u00a0nominated<\/a>\u00a0for Best Original Song at the Oscars.<\/p>\n
